Bsc (Hons) Physiotherapy,   1997

University of Birmingham,   UK

Registered member of the Health Professions Council of SA and the South African Society of Physiotherapy.

Fatima graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Physiotherapy with an Annual Student Award from the University of Birmingham in 1997. She spent the first 5 years of her career obtaining comprehensive in-hospital physiotherapy experience, in England and South Africa, before opting to specialise in manual therapy.

She completed her OMT (Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy) training in 2003 whilst working at a renowned sports & orthopaedic physiotherapy practice in Johannesburg. In 2006, Fatima set up a private practice in Pretoria and relinquished the practice when her husband’s employment took them abroad a few years later. She registered to practice in the UK again and worked there briefly before returning to South Africa in 2014.

Fatima’s work experience has been complemented by extensive continuing professional development, having attended exceptional training courses both locally and in the UK. Ongoing professional development training is prioritized in an effort to always maintain an exemplary standard of clinical practice.  Currently, Fatima is a member of the Orthopaedic Manipulative Physiotherapists Group as well as the Womens Health Physiotherapists Group of the SASP.

Fatima Pahad Physiotherapy is a new venture. The practice was originally established by Tarryn Rusteberg, proprietor of TR Physiotherapy, who has left South Africa and now resides in Canada.

The practice is conveniently located in the vibrant Sunninghill Village Shopping Centre, central to Sunninghill, Waterfall and Woodmead, and very accessible from Kyalami, Buccleuch, Rivonia and Paulshof.
